Many of us, cannabis lovers (if not all), dream of changing ancient prohibitionist laws that are more likely to suppress the desire of society to be healthy and happy than to develop and stimulate its well-being. We dream of a politician that would declare this openly and confidently - we need cannabis for treatment and for entertainment! In the post-Soviet space, the number of such activists is approaching zero, but in the Czech Republic close to us, thanks to their efforts, cannabis legislation is getting warmer every year! One of these activists for cannabis justice is Robert Veverka, chairman of Legalizace.cz, publisher of the cannabis magazine of the same name, and a member of the Czech Pirate Party.

Robert was born on November 18, 1976 in the Czech Republic and after receiving a certificate of completion of school at the Business Academy in Prague, he began working as an entrepreneur in the field of information technology. In 1999, he traveled to the west coast of the United States and gained valuable work experience in Australia, Central America, Spain, and especially in the Netherlands.

In 2007, he returned to the Czech Republic and began to actively participate in the struggle for the legalization of cannabis, organizing and leading the Million Marijuana March Prague. Soon he became the main representative, and then the chairman of the Legalizace.cz association. In 2010, he began publishing Legalizace magazine, which covers a wide range of cannabis use in all areas of human activity and discusses the legal aspects of cannabis laws in the Czech Republic. Today, he is also the publisher of The Cannabis and Cannabis Therapy Magazine, which specializes in the use of cannabis as a medicine.

Since then, he has become one of the main figures of the Czech cannabis movement. By working tirelessly and closely with local political parties, he and his colleagues achieved recognition of the rights of cannabis consumers and patients. Thanks to their efforts, medical cannabis in the Czech Republic can be obtained by prescription from April 1, 2013, and growing up to 5 plants for your own needs is not criminally responsible.

The main goal of the Czech magazine and its famous publisher is to achieve full legalization of the plant and it seems to us that such a close-knit team will certainly succeed! All that remains for us is to support our colleagues and try to take an example from them, because by joint efforts you can turn mountains!
